I am actually (surprising as it may see to most lol)... well anyway I am actually starting to be able to like close in on 1 or 2 different religions I want to start looking into with much more depth  Smiley

Well that's a good basis to have. Now comes the hard part.
2  Cauldron Basics (All Members Can Post) / Backup General Discussions (Post Here When Main Board Down) / Re: Update: Oct 7, 2008 on: October 09, 2008, 01:08:05 pm
Hopefully. No promises -- especially on attachments. And it looks like everything after October 2md is likely to be lost.

That's a shame. But five days is nothing in comparison to the prospect of losing everything. I'm impressed that you're able to transfer as much information as you have.

Domain Name System.  It's what translates the "www.ecauldron.net in the numerical IP address assigned to a specific server.  www.ecauldron.net is currently pointing to Bob's machine.  When the new server is ready, it will have to be changed to point to it. That changes can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days to make it from the master doman name servers to the servers your Internet provider uses, depending on how your ISP is set up to handle DNS.

Ah ok, I wondered whether the address of the forum was going to change or not.

Thanks for all the hard work, Randall.  Smiley

Bob has confirmed the server is dying. I'm hoping it will come back (and stay up while I'm here and wake) so I can backup about a gig of databases and code off of it. Sad

I'm sorry that everything is so rushed Randall. Good luck with everything.
5  Cauldron Basics (All Members Can Post) / Backup General Discussions (Post Here When Main Board Down) / Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary on: July 08, 2008, 01:15:48 pm
I can't believe I have been married a year already! Does this mean the honeymoon period is officially over?  Sad  Lol.

We had a really nice day yesterday; we went out for a nice meal at a French/Cajun restaurant. My husband also had flowers delivered to the house, which was the first time that's happened for me  Smiley

Anyways, just wanted to share.

I just got an email from Bob....

HURRAY!! I can't wait until we have TC back again. I miss it.

*sings* Here at backup TC, Here at backup TC, la la la  (If I find myself ad-libbing a little bit, is that ok?  Wink )
8  Cauldron Basics (All Members Can Post) / Backup General Discussions (Post Here When Main Board Down) / Re: Opinion of Backup Board? on: July 03, 2008, 03:22:13 pm
I suspect many people don't realize the backup board is here; I think a lot of the regulars maybe go straight to the forum (ecauldron.net) and don't think to check the site (ecauldron.com) to see what's up when the forum goes down.  Probably that's why we're seeing such low traffic.  The lack of serious discussions (because we're reluctant to start much when hopefully we'll be moving back to the main board any time now) is probably also keeping some people quieter than usual, posters who don't normally participate much in the light social sort of stuff that we've mostly got going on here right now.

Yeah, I suspect you're totally right about that. I just joined here because I missed every-one! And yet I am still really missing all the discussion that usually goes on on TC main board. Can't wait to dive back into it all again.
9  Cauldron Basics (All Members Can Post) / Backup Prayer Requests (For When Main Board Down) / Re: Prayer Request for Shad on: July 03, 2008, 03:18:31 pm
Actual Shadow here now!

I'm home from the hospital and probably about to stagger off and nap.  TIRED.

I had an eptopic pregnancy.  Which can apparently be lethal and causes all kinds of nasty effects until it's removed.

Oh my Gods, I am so sorry that you went through that Shadow. I've heard how dangerous they are, so I am SO glad that you're ok now. (((Shadow)))

(((Melamphoros)))

I'm really sorry. It can be really tough when your parents separate. My parents divorced 14 years ago, but to be honest I think it was the best for them. It would have been tougher if they had of stayed together; they still can't see each other without getting into a huge fight.

In my hometown f.ex. there is one very old bakery, they have a specialty called Wiener Kranz.
It's a cake, that is (oh my, loss for words) - you kind of wind the dough together so it becomes a round wheel and it is filled with nut and fudge. (Passionfruit will know the word 'Wickelkranz' I guess).

Mmm fudge... Smiley

It's weird that she also has that effect on a big homo like me  Cheesy

Lol. There's just something intoxicating about her... Wink

I wouldn't joke too hard about that.  My brother (who is somewhere in the "management" area of the hierarchy at a local McD's) says that they're going to be putting in full coffee bars at some McDonald's locations (his included, hence the info).  Which I think is a little ridiculous, and somewhat amusing in the case of the south location in our town that is right next door to a Starbuck's, but they didn't ask my opinion.

In Germany and France (and maybe the rest of mainland Europe aswell, I'm not sure), they have the McCafe. Sometimes inside a McDonalds and sometimes just by itself. It is very much like Starbucks with the coffee and cakes, although it's cheaper. And if I'm being completely honest- I found it just as good as Starbucks. It reminds me of Costa Coffee, which is a big chain of coffeeshops in the UK.

*mops up the puddle of drool that description caused*

Lol. That place (it's called Yorma's) had the most amazing snacks. My husband liked the pretzel that had bacon underneath the cheese, but I don't eat meat so I missed out on that one.

Everyone's is different.  Then again, you're talking too someone who doesn't find Brad Pitt attractive in the slightest bit Wink

I do find him attractive, but he's not somebody I drool over. Now Miss Jolie on the other hand...
