Does anyone here have some good sources regarding the many things that Christianity stole from Pagan traditions before altering and claiming as their own? I've been interested in this for a while, and I've managed to find some good research on this, but I'm always looking for more. I've ran across some helpful Internet sources, http://exposingchristianity.org/ is good for this topic, but I'd be interested if anyone else had good sources proving this theory. Thanks!

I keep them with my good sources for invisible pink unicorns.

Once one actually pays attention to the origins of Christianity - which are, of course, Jewish, a fact that is extremely popular to totally ignore by the sort of people who are highly invested in associating Christianity with pagan trappings, one is left with stuff like "People who live by farming tend to have field blessings and harvest blessings" and "established customs that don't have anything to do with theology don't go away when people change theologies".

With a sidebar of "If you have a theological requirement for living plants in your religious building, in the winter in cold climates you don't have a lot of options that aren't evergreens, because SCIENCE."

No, and you won't find good - in the sense of 'accurate' - sources for that; while it's a common misconception in Pagandom, it largely is a misconception. The site you link is a 'Joy of Satanism' subsite, and definitely not reliable; even other Satanists think JoS is mockable.

"established customs that don't have anything to do with theology don't go away when people change theologies".

<nods>

Bluepurplepandas, that's the thing - you speak of Christianity 'stealing' from the pagans, as if 'the Christians' were an invading tribe, but the people identifying as Christian who included the various customs into how they practiced Christianity were 'the Pagans', before they converted, just retaining the familiar customs that were their legitimate birthright.

I'd like to chip in a thunderous '...aaaaand so what if they did?'

Even if Christianity did 'steal' from paganism (a notion that is both inaccurate and ignorant of the general principles of How Religion Works) I daresay that over the centuries as one of humanity's dominant religions Christianity has made its own name for itself. A practically unfathomable wealth of independent theological and scholastic Christian tradition, stretching from St Augustine to Karl Barth, means that regardless of where Christianity started its pretty much doing its own thing now.
